Our Founder

Didier Abner

(Dharanī Dhara Dāsa) · A Life Rooted in Tradition, Service & Transformation

Didier Abner is the visionary founder of Yadu Yoga, a school dedicated to preserving and transmitting yoga in its purest and most traditional form. His journey on the yogic path began at the age of sixteen, when a chance encounter with a yoga master while traveling in Ecuador awakened a lifelong devotion. Shortly thereafter, he received initiation as a Bhakti Yogi and chose to live as a brahmacārī (celibate monk) in a forest āśram deep in the Ecuadorian jungle.
Immersed in daily discipline, scriptural study, and silence, Didier experienced a profound inner peace and a calling to share what he calls the “oldest wisdom of humanity — Yoga, the art of self-transformation.”
Upon returning to Colombia, Didier opened his first yoga school, later established Vishnu Yoga Studio, and taught Ashtanga and Power Yoga. In 2014 he travelled to India, studying in Rishikesh and Mysore, deepening his understanding under traditional teachers and anchoring his commitment to guru-paramparā.
Following his studies, Didier taught at Bodytree Studio in Abu Dhabi for seven years, gained recognition from Yoga Alliance as a registered teacher trainer, and led international retreats, trainings, and workshops.
He received initiation into the Śrī T. Kr̥ṣṇamācārya Sampradāya, embracing the Samantraka Krama — the integrated path that harmonizes āsana, prāṇāyāma, mantra, and meditation — teaching with reverence for Patañjali’s Yoga Darśana and the Vaiṣṇava philosophical foundation.
Today, through Yadu Yoga, Didier continues to share the traditional teachings with sincerity, clarity, and depth — restoring yoga as a living tradition of transformation, devotion, and liberation.
